Bob was a friend, guitarist, and technical engineer for Siemens Corporation. He died from a rare form of cancer at the age of 42. Bob was loved by everyone who knew him. He projected keen spiritual understanding and demonstrated genuine selfless action. He was a beloved and dedicated son to his parents, especially when each of them was battling cancer. He was the treasured younger brother of Richard Whitman. He also was a loving brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, mentor who is sorely missed. Bob Whitman’s life and early death inspired his family and friends to form BWRF, and we all feel he is smiling down on us as a result of this effort.
